Afghanistan Embassy wins the Embassies’ Football Cup

Embassy of the I.R. of Afghanistan in Oslo participated in diplomatic missions football tournament in Oslo called World Embassy Cup on 17th June, 2017.  Afghanistan defeated Switzerland, France & UK in its group, IOM in quarter-final so as to play in semi-final against the team of Embassy of Argentina. In an interesting match, Afghanistan Embassy team defeated Argentina 2-1 and qualified for the final of the tournament against the team of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway. Afghanistan team made it 2-2 on the field but won 4-2 in penalty shoot-outs so as to lift the trophy.
