President Ghani Congratulates Prime Minister Erna Solberg on the Occasion of Norway’s National Day.
In a letter addressed to Prime Minister Erna Solberg, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani conveyed felicitations and best wishes to the people and Government of Norway on the occasion of Norway’s National Day (Constitution Day).
President Ghani asserted that Afghanistan and Norway have always maintained and enjoyed friendly and cordial relations and highlighted the importance of Norway’s many important contributions in Afghanistan over the past near two decades. In that regard, he also asserted that Norway’s commitment and expression of support to help advance Afghanistan’s efforts to achieve peace and prosperity in the country was a manifestation of Norway’s long-standing friendship and enduring partnership with Afghanistan.
He indicated that Afghanistan was profoundly pleased that Afghanistan-Norway bilateral relations and cooperation have grown and stregthened, while reaffirming Afghanistan’s commitment to continue further expansion of this cooperation and partnership.
President Ghani also expressed his best wishes for the good-health and prosperity of the people of Norway as they celebrate their National Day.
May 17 is celebrated each year as Constitution Day, commemorating the signing of Norway’s Constitution in 1814.
